Okay... Folks who live in the Vancouver region, and those who listen to the radio have no doubt heard the "Alarm Force" radio spots. Dude talking, then the shouting voice "This is the ALARM FORCE SENTRY! IDENTIFY YOURSELF IMMEDIATELY!!"...

I friggin' hate those commercials.

I hate them because of the snub, sly, subtle (but not really) negative, attack ads they are. These radio spots basically all say the same thing:

- our competitors lack stuff
- only alarm force does this or that
- our competitors blow chunks
- YELLING SENTRY VOICE
- stupid jingle
- "listed on the TSE"

I make it a specific point to never ever shop at any store, business or service that considers trashing their competitors to be good in their adspots. I don't like reading it on the web, I don't like hearing it on the radio, or seeing it on TV.

The Alarm Force commercials do this in spades... "would you really trust...." or "how good is an alarm company that doesn't do this..." yada yada.

Another thing - they have an inferiority complex - every commercial ends with "Alarm Force is listed on the TSE!"... like who gives a fuck. They are a tiny company, and this, I suppose, is their way of sounding "bigger".

The negative crap in their commercial ads? Enough already!
