"What exactly do you call this?" Well, I was going to write on my love of cooking, and experimenting in the kitchen, but for the last few weeks, I've been really drawing a blank as to what I would put in here. I really can't think of anything, other that to say that I can whip up more than just Kraft Dinner. In fact, I cook meals for Jeanette about 3 times a week - she cooks for me a couple of times a week, and the other 2-3 times a week, we eat alone because of her work schedule. In fact, I have made some pretty complicated dishes in the past, including Chicken Cordon Bleu, Chicken Kiev, and other chicken dishes. I also make a wicked chili, but I can only make that once or twice a year, any more than that and I would spoil myself and others around me!! My chili is my own secret recipe, and I put things in that are ultra secret, but they are what make my chili stand out. I learned how to make it this way through pure experimentation. One of the things I like to do is prepare 5 course dinners, as a sort of romantic interlude, for my honey. I pull these surprises on her once every month or so, and she seems to really like them. How does one pull off a 5 course meal and still be able to sit down and eat at a romantic setting? Well, there's my greatest skill in the kitchen - timing. I can time the cooking and preparation of everything, so that I can have the salad, then soup on the table, then the appetizer, then the main course, and it looks like all I'm doing during the meal is getting up to fetch the next course, not work on it. The only thing I spend a bit more time on, during the meal, is the desert and coffee or tea, but by then, Jean is left rubbing her belly and feeling good and relaxed! How do I time things out? That's a secret too! Click here to get to the other stuff I do. |
